LM-2VOX - Voice Activated Micro Transmitter
Bugging devices such as the mini Room Transmitter are used for room bugging. This miniaturized room transmitter is a smaller version of the Voice Activated Room Transmitter, an electronic bug. This voice activated room transmitter is smaller in size, (about 4 mm thick), and has an embedded antenna, reducing its visibility and detracting from unnecessary attention.
Because of its small size, the Voice Activated Micro Transmitter is able to assist the user by obtaining the conversations of a target, and transmit them using low power to a Radio Receiver. The Voice Activated Micro Transmitter can be placed in a room or vehicle for voice monitoring in order to capture and broadcast audio information for intelligence gathering purposes.
The LM-2 functions primarily as a room transmitter, using Narrow FM (NFM). NFM gives off less 'noise' and causes less 'traffic' than other voice monitoring broadcast mediums.
Using a Compander Circuit, the LM-2 is able to transmit excellent sound quality comparable to to WFM (Wide FM). The LM-2 uses an effective micro-controller that starts the rf transmission once the voice activation circuit encounters speech or sounds. For a room transmitter, this powerful feature is vital when every word that is spoken needs to be transmitted. In order to ensure the end of a voice monitoring conversation is transmitted, the LM-2 is built with a long delay before withdrawing into its standby mode.
The lithium battery gives the LM-2 a long operating time before replacement is necessary.
The LM-2 offers good operating distance with relatively low power output and power consumption. The LM-2 VOX Transmitter uses Automatic Gain Control, providing good audio quality despite its operation in the NFM mode.
The LM-2 VOX Transmitter has built in microcontrollers which enable the Voice Activation feature. The Power (3V) is provided by lithium CR2450 batteries (alternatively by two AA batteries).
