Hidden Recording Devices Hidden recording devices are commonly referred to as surveillance recorders because they store audio surveillance recordings of other people's conversations without their knowledge. Hidden recording devices can be built from a surveillance recorder, or from an audio surveillance transmitter broadcasting conversations to a surveillance receiver that demodulates eavesdropping dialogue and feeds it into the hidden recording device.Hidden recording devices can be voice activated, turned on or off by the presence of sound, or by remote control. An audio recording device requires electrical power, an input for the sound usually from spy microphone, and a magnetic or digital media to hold the stored audio information. Audio recording devices can be hidden into common objects that do not arouse suspicion, and minimize detection. |
